There are two artists that share the name of Catman: 1) Catman (originally known as The Catman before switching in late 2009), is an up and coming emcee out of New York City, and a true student to Hip-Hop culture. Influenced by the seemingly converging styles of Nas, Lupe Fiasco, and other well-known rappers, Christian is making his name through the mixtape game, currently laying vocals over well known beats and emulating the style of the original rapper. 2)Catman was formed in 2000 by Catman, and 26 other people. Most of them had never met, and never have. The grand concept behind all this was thus: By recruiting members from all over the world (via the medium of internet message board) the band would be able to tour without anyone having to bother leaving their bedrooms. This sort of worked (or at least members claimed they wer e performing the odd song to their cat occasionally). Where it all fell down was the part where members were supposed to record material and send it in to Catman, to then compile into an album. No one ever did. This left Catman with no choice but to fire everyone but his brother, Barnabus McGuiggan, and record 15 albums in the space of two years. Which they did. And then made some more.
