There are 2 bands with the name Capulets: 1. Capulets represent the musical outpourings of Luke Hebblethwaite (vocals, guitar), Pietro DeSantis (keyboards, backing vocals) and whenever they can hold on to one for more than 10 minutes, a drummer. First formed in the scorching summer of 2004, the band is based in North London. On 7th November 2009, Capulets released their début Hope Springs EP for download worldwide on their own label, Apocalypso Records. It is available from most of the major online retailers, such as iTunes, Amazon and 7digital, with limited edition physical copies available from live shows and by request from the official Capulets website. As a three piece, the band is especially notable for the lack of bass guitar. All bass parts are handled by Pete, simultaneously with the top end keys, on two enormous early 80’s Casiotone keyboards. These keyboards, along with Luke’s elaborately interwoven guitar parts form the cornerstone of Capulets' sound. Musically, all the songs are written collaboratively with all lyrics written by Luke. The lyrics tend to be complex and carefully thought out, with subjects varying from the frustration, repetition and boredom of life (“Recycled Air”) to christiano-fascist indoctrination (“Hope Springs”) and the conspiracy that Paul McCartney is actually dead, written entirely using anagrams (“Pay Mr Clean Cut”). -------------------------------------------------------- Capulets can be found online here: http://www.capulets.co.uk http://www.last.fm/music/capulets http://www.myspace.com/capuletsband Email: info@capulets.co.uk ---------------------------------------------------- 2.
