CAPTAIN, YOUR SHIP IS SINKING was founded in 2007 by five friends from The Netherlands with a shared passion for atmospheric, intense and loud music. After half a year of writing songs they played their first shows and they recorded four songs that appear on their 'Captain, Your Ship is Sinking' demo (2008). In 2009 these songs appeared on the 12" titled 'Cross your fingers for the epilogue', released by Moment of Collapse and Sadness of Noise records. In the summer of 2009, the band returned to the studio to record four more songs, which ended up comprising the '2010 Tour EP' (2010). Two of these tracks were put on a 12" split with Mio (2010) and one has been contributed to the 'Connections II' compilation LP (2010). After a lot of fun and a few dozen shows, two of the original members called it quits mid 2010. The rest of the band found two new guys and Captain, Your Ship is Sinking started playing shows and writing songs again in early 2011. Around springtime that year the band once again entered the studio, this time to record a total of three new songs. These songs were released on a 12" split record with Black Everest in 2013. Captain, Your Ship is Sinking split in April 2012, playing their final show at The Loch, Enschede. Facebook | Bandcamp Read more on Last.fm.
