Name: Cáthia The Voice Season: 2013 Season 4 Age: 19 Hometown: Bronx, N.Y. Audition Song: “No Me Doy por Vencido” by Luis Fonsi (sung entirely in Spanish) Coaches Who Turned: Usher, Shakira, Blake Coach She Picked: Shakira New York City native Cáthia was strutting her stuff on stage long before her Voice Season 4 debut on March 26. This pint-sized, feisty Latina attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts (aka the Fame school!), where she was classically trained. In addition to singing, Cáthia is a skilled songwriter and musician. According to her Facebook page, some of her biggest performances to date include the Amateur Night Competition at The Apollo Theater in Harlem, where she placed first in three separate rounds, and the famed (no pun intended) Carnegie Hall. Not too shabby! Cáthia also had the opportunity to sing for the The X Factor judges in 2012. When it comes to musical influences, Cáthia is all about the divas, and it certainly shows in her voice. She lists Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, and Selena as her biggest idols. Ahem, what about her coach Shakira?! We'll forgive Cáthia for that oversight, and hopefully America will too! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
