Broken Vessels

Broken Vessels Ministry was birthed in the heart of Tory Dardar, lead vocalist for the band. God gave Tory a vision to begin this ministry with the mindset of sharing and servant hood. Since beginning this ministry in January of 2000, God has used Broken Vessels to share the Gospel message through song and testimony, in over 12 states and 3 countries. Broken Vessels has been going strong for almost 10 years and seem to get better with time. Tory Dardar is a strong front man and leads worship with integrity and a pure heart. Their hearts for God are genuine, apparent, and transparent in their original lyrics. Broken Vessels is one of the premier independent bands available. They have a refreshing and lively sound. Drawing comparisons to Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, and Jeremy Camp, the band has been blessed to have served with top artists such as The Afters, Shawn McDonald, Rebecca St. James, Warren Barfield, and more. Broken Vessels has a broad musical influence, which seems to inevitably connect them with people from all walks of life. In fact, it is their ability to connect with a variety of listeners coupled with their pure and passionate worship that landed them the prestigious "Worship Artist of the Year" award in March of 2008 at Nashville's Momentum Awards. Broken Vessels' album, Unashamed exhibits a diversity that is not often evident in the current music scene. From the Jazz-infused "Land of No Return" to the radio-friendly "Draw Us Near" and "Here is My Life," to the intimate "Because He Lives" and "Broken Vessel", the band has brought to life a cohesive album that navigates a broad musical landscape. Broken Vessels' heart for ministry does not stop on the stage. Following their performances, they enjoy the fellowship with students and adults alike. "Ministry takes place when you walk off the stage" says Tory Dardar. He adds, "That's when people get to see who you really are and what you are really about". It is that type of genuineness that draws churches to Broken Vessels. "You could find a good band on just about any corner, but what you guys bring to my students is very hard to find" states Student Minister Dusty Sherrell. Broken Vessels is not afraid to trade in their musical instruments for work tools and minister to people's physical needs as well. Being from the south, they know what it is like to have been affected by the recent devastating hurricanes. Providing food, tarps, material, and even physical labor, Broken Vessels takes a hands-on approach in helping others. Tory says "We want to demonstrate the Love of Christ by showing and proving our love and Christ's love to them by our action of sacrifice." Broken Vessels' desire is to serve the Lord by serving His church and our communities. Broken Vessels is available for concerts, youth camps, crusades, worship seminars, conferences, DNOWs, etc. If you are interested in hosting Broken Vessels for an event, please email sonny@willowtr33.com Read more on Last.fm.
