Darrell Evans is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ first, family man second, and worship leader/music writer third. "Without Christ in my life, I am nothing! Because of Him I am able to get up every day, like anyone else, and strive to be more like Him and less like me." Darrell has two beautiful young children: a daughter Leah, and a son Connor. "They are my heart and world. My kids have changed my life for the better. I want to be the Godly father and leader that they need, especially in this pivotal time in the world. My desire for them is to be all that they can be in Christ." Darrell and his wife, Charity, plan on having more children in the near future and would also love to adopt. "We just want God's divine direction for our family and to be in the center of His will." Darrell travels alone, and with band, ministering worldwide. "In my ministry my desire is to help people connect with Jesus in a life changing way." Through music, preaching and prayer Darrell has seen numerous people come to know christ and has encouraged many others to a deeper walk with God. People are healed, refreshed and renewed through Darrell's life-changing ministry. Darrell finds he is inspired by many artists, including Bruce Springsteen, U2, Steven Curtis Chapman, Phil Keaggy,and Randy Stonehill. His diverse musical influences give his songs the fresh quality it takes to be a success in the world of music. This is evident by the fact that he has won numerous awards including two Dove Award nominations from his 1997 release, “Let The River Flow,” and his 1998 album, “Freedom.” In 2000, Darrell’s single, “You Bless Me,” was ASCAP’s Christian song of the year. In addition, many of his songs have been featured on songs for Worship, and WOW Worship, including such notable worship songs as “Let the River Flow,” "Fields of Grace", "Your Love is Extravagant," “Freedom,” and “Trading My Sorrows.” Darrell Evans is a talented musician with the power to impact the world through worship.
