Beata Przybytek graduated Jazz Academy in Katowice (2004). She won Grand Prix at 29 International Vocal Jazz Contest in Zamosc, Poland in 2002. Right after that she recorded her first album called “You Don’t Know What Love Is”. The album took good reviews in media and jazz society including review and interview with Beata in Jazz Forum magazine (the most popular in Poland) so soon after she and her quintet started to play concerts all over Polish jazz festivals ( Pomorska Jesien Jazzowa, Swidnickie Noce Jazzowe, Jazz w Teatrze Ateneum – Warszawa (featuring Jan Ptaszyn Wroblewski), Jazz w Lesie – Suleczyno, Podlasie Jazz Festival, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, Jazz Sessions – Gliwice, Glogowskie Spotkania Jazzowe, Jazz Forum – Olsztyn, Jazz Forum Festival – Warszawa and many more…) and jazz clubs as well. In February 2004 she recorded second album called “The Island” at the same recording studio in Radio Katowice. With both albums her music band started tour in Poland at the festivals and jazz clubs with great success. In February 2005 was invited to Nurnberg, Germany -Jazz at Cracow House and was also invited to Jazz en Nord Festival in Lille, France in December 2005. December 2005 studio session brought the third album called “Wonderland” with original interpretations of Stevie Wonder’s music. A few very famous musicians in Poland was invited for that session: Jarek Smietana – guitar, Janusz Muniak – ts, Slawek Berny – perc, Jacek Krolik – guitar.
