Awake At Last

Delaware has never been known for bringing out young bands trying to gain recognition, but until now none have broken out as well as Dover’s Awake At Last. Falling on the more progressive side of the rock world, the four-piece draws influence from bands like The Used and rock bands like Saosin. Awake At Last has found an aggressive blend of radio rock and pop melodies that create a whirlwind of emotion and with a live energy that matches the high energy of their recordings, AAL aims to travel the world playing unforgettable shows and captivate their fans. Formed in 2011, Awake At Last -- featuring vocalist Vincent Torres, guitarist Eric Blackway, bassist Tyler Greene, and drummer Bryan Mills – continues to bring a fresh sound to the Delaware music scene. Vincent Torres comments, “Some kids will only listen to a specific genre or a specific band, but for the most part the public just likes good live music and can make the best of whatever situation.” Being a band with a solid sound has helped boost AAL’s overall recognition and has ranked them as Dover’s number one rock group on Reverbnation charts. “We've played some local shows for our local crowd where the venue is packed wall to wall and it's amazing. It all about making connections with our fans” explains guitarist Eric Blackway. Since the bands formation they have been on four east coast tours, one nationwide tour, and have played such festivals as SXSW, Heart of Texas Rock Fest, and Launch Music Festival, joining the stage with acts including Life On Repeat (Equal Vision Records), Us From Outside (Tragic Hero Records), and Life As A Ghost (Eulogy Records).
