Esa Cosa (Fade Out al Noroeste) | Anthna | Eduardo Mateo Remezclación 1 |
After playing in some digital pop projects, Nicolas started working under the Antena moniker in 2003, focusing on build a unique, cinematic experimental pop music, using feedback and resampling of digital errors as the main structure of compositions, adding resources such as digital synthesis and analogue instruments. Due to some aliases, the project name changed to Anthna. Anthna's sound is organic, emotional, naïve and dark at the time. He delivers simple melodies originated from analogue instruments, toys and accidental sound sources, mixed with complex weaves of noise that creates constantly moving narrative tensions; closer to the sound of ambient-rock bands than those from the techno sphere. He has shared the stage with such sonic artists and musicians as Vladislav Delay (Finland), Yo La tengo (USA), Rechenzentrum (Germany), Tristeza (USA), Deadbeat (Canada), Steve Beaupre (Canada), Casiotone For The Painfully Alone (USA), Tape (Spain), L’usine (USA), AGF (Germany), Scanner (UK), Dj Spooky (USA), and Sickboy (Belgium) to name a few. Nicolás has participated in Mutek.mx (Mexico City 2005), and FILE (Sao Paulo Brasil 2005) among others. Read more on Last.fm.
