Another Damn Disappointment (ADD) hail from Sacramento, CA but are cut from the same fabric and represent the genre sound of the South Bays' Pennywise, Deviates and Guttermouth. Formed in Sacramento by vocalist Josh Thompson and bassist Casey Marsullo in 2001, Another Damn Disappointment have been consistently touring since their formation. After self-releasing their debut full length that circulated around the Nor Cal area and gaining a reputation as a solid punk act, opportunities began to arise for them to open up for larger bands such as Guttermouth, Pennywise, H20, Pulley, and Bigwig as they came through Nor Cal on tour. In the winter of 2003, Another Damn Disappointment came to the attention of Volcom Entertainment by submitting their self-released CD for Volcom Entertainment's Band Joust series. After winning the local competition in Sacramento, Another Damn Disappointment made the trek to Anaheim to compete against the other Band Joust winners from around California. Even though they didn't win the overall competition, the way the band was able to win over an entire room of fans of the other competing bands left a lasting impression in the minds of Volcom Entertainment. One year later, in January 2004, Another Damn Disappointment and Volcom Entertainment had inked a deal to release Another Damn Disappointment's second full length, "Hooligan". Recorded and produced by Darian Rundall (Strung Out, Bueno, Pennywise, Deviates, Yellowcard, 1208, 98 Mute, U.S. Bombs) at the legendary South Bay recording studio, Stall ..2, "Hooligan" is a throw back to the way punk rock sounded in the mid-90's; such a sound that has been noticeably absent from the current "punk" scene (if you can still call it that) since the turn of the century. With two full lengths under their belt, and countless shows and tours including two warped tours, Another Damn Disappointment has gained an impressive fan base all over the country. They have just completed a tour of the west coast with Authority Zero and now they are hard at work on a new album which is being engineered by Scott Sheldon from Guttermouth. Read more on Last.fm.
