Achrid (Michael Wright and Tadanae Fujimura) are a London-based electronic improvisation duo dealing with loosely structured music built from field recordings, exploited consumer technology, plundered samples and synthesis. The pair met at university where they crafted their sound under the guidance of tutors such as Peter Cusack and David Toop. Achrid's music ranges from static drones to rhythmic chaos, drawing influence from past and present movements in electronic music while consistently working towards a "future" electronic sound, instilling an urge in the audience for repeated listening.
