A Day Overdue are a pop-punk band with a difference. Soaring lead guitar melodies combine with a crushing rhythm section to deliver a sound with the growl of A Day To Remember and the bounce of Fall Out Boy creating a truly unforgettable live experience. With debut album "Secrets" gaining widespread critical acclaim and shows up and down the UK with the likes of Not Advised, Elliot Minor, The Famous Class, My Passion, Just Me Again and Amy Can Flyy, ADO are rapidly becoming the unsigned band on everybody's lips. With unprecedented levels of fan interaction through their Facebook and Myspace communities, A Day Overdue are a band you can get as close as you like to. Formed in February 2009, the band currently consists of Rob Walker (vocals), Dan Morrison (guitar), Micky Davison (guitar), Kenny Baird (bass) and Dave Maxwell (drums). After originally basing themselves in Edinburgh, the band slowly made the transition to Glasgow after becoming frustrated at the lack of opportunities for upcoming bands in the capital and have already seen the benefits of this with some very exciting shows on the calendar for early 2011. Despite being 100% independent with no label backing or management, the band have toured extensively in 2010 all over the UK. Highlights include a sold out appearance at London's Camden Barfly and packed shows at Glasgow O2 Academy 2 and Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh. Thanks to their strong and loyal fanbase ADO won a vote-based contest to support Elliot Minor on their September tour in Edinburgh, and are currently listed as the 35th most popular rock band in the UK in the Reverbnation charts which are based on song plays, friend counts and profile views. In late June 2010 the band released their debut full length album, titled "Secrets", on the back of two demo EP's in 2009 ("Something For The Weekend" in May and "Heroes & Villains" in October) which sold out of its initial physical run in three months. A Scottish tour to accompany the release saw the band play headline shows in Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh and receive local and national radio airplay. The band will shortly be filming their debut music video for "The City Sleeps" with the single being released as part of an EP due out on December 13th priced at £1. This will be an online only release and will include the electric radio edit, acoustic, and club versions of the single plus a new Christmas song called "December". 2011 looks like a fantastic prospect for Scotland's hardest working pop-punk band - it's time you got involved. REVIEWS: "Effortlessly catchy and energetic... A Day Overdue clearly know what they're aiming for and there's no harm in that - in fact, 'Secrets' is probably all the better for the crystal clear vision the band have." - Alter The Press (Album Review) (3/5) "Criminally unsigned... sugary sweet yet with as much energy and fun as you will find." - Black Velvet Magazine "Their approach to song-writing is exciting... a shining example of what being in a band is all about." - Ourzone Magazine (Album Review) (8/10) "A slick pop-punk wall of sound carries some nicely crafted vocal melodies. This is all about the songs: the style is almost irrelevant, because this is good writing and it would work in any genre. Great playing throughout, and some nice melodic lead guitar work in particular. An ace band, with bags of energy." - LiveUnsigned.com (Live Review) (4/5) "Ticks all the boxes... you guys nail it." - Leith FM ("Relapse" Single Review) "Remarkable" - RoomThirteen.com ("Relapse" Single Review) (11/13) "Think You Me At Six, if Josh Franceschi knew how to dance." - Freaks, Nerds & Romantics Blog Read more on Last.fm.
