The sax doesn’t seem to be blown, and sounds like a twittering synthesizer; the harp produces laptop clicks ‘n cuts; de piano is alternately electro mechanic sinus generator, string section and spinning top; and the only real electronic instrument, the analogue synthesizer transforms itself into an acoustic phenomenon. You constantly ask yourself: “Who’s playing what?” The four musicians all play in a variety of contexts and genres, from classical to electronic to jazz, and come from different backgrounds (Fuhler from the Netherlands, Lehn from Germany, Davies from Wales and Butcher from England).
