peixe : avião are a portuguese alternative rock band, composed of Ronaldo Fonseca (vocals/synthesizer), André Covas (guitar/synthesizer), Luís Fernandes (guitar/effects), Zé Figueiredo (bass/mellotron) and Pedro Oliveira (drums/percussion). Founded in the summer of 2007 in the city of Braga, peixe : avião were rapidly noticed by the national press through a self-released debut EP. Since then their career has developed steadily through their debut album "40.02" (Rastilho Records, 2008) and "Madrugada" (PAD, 2010). Their second album is the self-titled "peixe : avião" (PAD, 2013). In 2016, they released their third album, entitled "peso morto" (PAD, 2016), met with critical acclaim and often listed as one of the best Portuguese albums of 2016. Playing on the best national stages and venues, a fervent cult following and critical acclaim make peixe : avião one of the most promising artists that are part of the new generation of Portuguese musical talent.
