Your Laundry The pressure is high when the Danish band Your Laundry plays in front of a live audience with a resoundingly simple musical universe. They recently partnered up with Gearbox Agency and released their debut EP in the spring and with a new (still unreleased) single recorded in Medley Studios, the garage pop band is ready to conquer venues around the world. Good friendship and song writing was the reason Your Laundry formed in 2011 - because if you write songs that are too good to just be in the top drawer - you must act! And that was what Emil Bak (guitar) and Frederik Eberhardt (bass) did. They contacted their good friend Bjørn Ladefoged and today it's those three who make up Your Laundry along with Andreas Linnemann on drums live and in the studio. It's gone fast since 2011 when the boys had their big debut on the Main Stage on a big Danish festival for thousands of Danish students. When they signed the contract Your Laundry had just two complete songs so they had to write fast. With references to the Swedish garage-rockers The Hives and the Los Angeles band Eagles of Death Metal Your Laundry have their own take on the genre Garage-Pop. They have given it a Nordic twist where the sounds of classic rock instruments are accompanied by humorous lyrics about odd characters, stereotypes and urban life. The music is simple with guitar, bass, vocals and drums, and has a trashy but tight sound. It's pop tunes that get stuck in your head and stay there.. The band is not afraid of making exaggerated falsetto choruses or extreme lyrical repetitions. Your Laundry has a fast-paced expression, where the lyrics aren’t supposed to standalone but reflect the music. Through 2012, they played a lot around Denmark and Germany. With their new single " You You You" recorded in autumn of 2013, Your Laundry once again used the famous Medley Studios, this time with Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes etc.) as the producer. An uncontrollable momentum and a simple Nordic seal of approval send Your Laundry towards the dream with their collaboration with Gearbox Agency.
