Written in Ashes deliver dark and haunting melodies with style, incorporating danceable electronics with an intricate mix of guitars and vocals. Written In Ashes has been constantly performing across the United States. Founded by Kevyn in 1996, Written In Ashes has been gaining critical acclaim and a world wide fan base with it's ever evolving sound and performances. Their first effort, Eternal, was released in 1997 and hailed as "the new sound of Gothic." This was followed by the releases of "Eclipse" in 1999 and Epiphany in 2000. There have been tertiary appearances on compilations such as Cleopatra's The Unquiet Grave, Volume 1 (disc 2) in 1999 and Ankhor Records' Mutations: A Tribute to Alice Cooper in 2002. The band reemerged in 2004 on Latex Records with it's self-titled release Written in Ashes. The new single 'XXIII' has made its commercial radio debut and is available for FREE download. The extended re-mix will be released for club play within the next few weeks. Written In Ashes is currently working on a number of different projects. One of which is an exclusive track for the soon to be released book by Portland author Angela Gabriel "When A Siren Sings" www.whenasirensings.com. WIA plans to release a series of EP's in 2009, which will include radio version A sides, and exclusive club re-mix B sides. A full length album and DVD will follow later this year.
