There are multiple artists with this name: 1. Sludgy metal based in Seattle, WA, with gothic synth-dirges buried in an avalanche of highly saturated bass and thundering percussion. All members contribute with vocals that span a wide range of scary growling. Crushing and ugly, but with enough atmosphere and songwriting talent to keep it interesting. The band was originally formed in Lawrence, Kansas but then relocated to Seattle in 2000. Band members were Larry Perrigo and Pat Freed, both on bass and vocals, Lara Haynes on keyboard and vocals, with Pete Jay and Brandon Fitzsimons on drums and percussion/samples/vocals respectively. 2. They released their first EP in March 2015 categorized by a combination of abrasive vocals and harmonic backing vocals with an emphasis on Rock n Roll riffs and melody. 4. Sludge/doom metal band from Boston, MA. Founded in 2012 by Chris Bevilacqua (ex-Doomriders) on drums and Chris Pupecki (Doomriders) on guitars and vocals. Debut album Wormwood released in 2014 on Magic Bullet Records. Mike Gowell (Phantom Glue) and Greg Weeks (The Red Chord) later joined on guitar and bass respectively. 5. Wormwood is the solo project of Christchurch, New Zealand, musician Mikel Goodwin. Goodwin began the project in 1994, combining elements of 80s industrial/goth music with an electropop sensibility.
