Vince Carpentieri starts his professional career in 1999 when he decided to move to Los Angeles in order to attend the Musicians Institute (G.I.T.), where he was awarded a Professional Honours diploma. It was in the United States that he started his professional career with the help of such musicians as Scott Henderson, Daniel Gilbert, Ross Bolton and Jean Mark Belkadi, pillars of his musical formation and an important part of his musical influences. Between 2001 and 2007 Vince shared the stage and the studio with several Italian artists inculding: Audio 2, Almamegretta, O'Zulù(99 Posse), Horace Andy(Massive Attack), Raiz, Princess Julianna, Benjamin Braxton, Lucariello, Valeria e Sabrina Guida (Known to the general public for her particiaption at the Festival of Sanremo in the spring of 2005) and Alessio Caraturo (golden disk in 2004 for the single Goldrake). In his spare time he also plays at NAMM 2004 in Los Angeles and at Second Hand Guitars 2003, as an endorser of Galli Strings and VF guitars. Vince can be proud of beeing a constant presence as columnist on the major guitar magazines (Chitarre-Axe) and one of the most prolific producer of didactic material for guitarists. During this years he also collaborated with the Playgame Music publishers for whom he produced several volumes of transcriptions including Imagery Suite (with Frank Gambale and Maurizio Colonna) and Il fraseggio e l'improvvisazione nella chitarra rock (with Simone Sello). In the year 2004, Vince releases his first didactic video Suonare la chitarra funk, followed by the omonimous book. The book is still used by a lot of guitar instructors as a methodologic integration of their programs. His frenetic professional life and the variety of his collaborations, make him one of the most versatile musicians in Italy. It’s really easy to find his guitars in projects spacing from Pop to Jazz, from Reggae to Nu-Metal, genres he loves to move in between with absolute serenity and confidence guided by a strong passion for Music regardless of stylistic frontiers and language limits. Al ritorno in Italia seguono anni di intensa attività alternando l’attività turnistica dal vivo ed in studio con una fitta serie di produzioni nell’ambito della didattica per chitarristi. Tra il 2000 ed il 2007 ha condiviso il palco e lo studio con molteplici artisti tra cui spiccano i nomi di: Audio 2, Almamegretta, O'Zulù(99 Posse), Horace Andy(Massive Attack), Raiz, Princes Julianna, Benjamin Braxton, Lucariello, Valeria e Sabrina Guida (tra gli artisti del Festival di Sanremo 2005), Alessio Caraturo (disco d'oro nel 2004 per il singolo Goldrake). Nelle pause dell’attività dal vivo, interviene al NAMM 2004 di Los Angeles nonché al Second Hand Guitars 2003, come dimostratore per le corde Galli e per le chitarre VF. La sua produzione didattica vanta una costante presenza sulle maggiori riviste del settore (Chitarre-Axe) e la realizzazione di diversi volumi di trascrizioni per la Playgame Music tra cui Imagery Suite (con Frank Gambale e Maurizio Colonna) ed Il fraseggio e l'improvvisazione nella chitarra rock (con Simone Sello). Nel 2004 pubblica il suo primo video didattico dal titolo: Suonare La Chitarra Funk, cui seguirà la realizzazione dell’ omonimo manuale, tuttora utilizzato da diversi insegnanti come integrazione metodologica nei loro corsi. La frenetica attività che caratterizza la vita professionale di Vince e l’eterogenea matrice delle sue collaborazioni ne fanno uno dei musicisti più versatili di cui il panorama italiano possa vantare. Non è difficile che nell’arco di poco tempo lo si incontri in produzioni che vanno dal Pop al Jazz, dal Reggae al Nu-Metal, generi tra cui spazia nella più assoluta serenità, guidato dalla forte passione per tutto quello che è Musica senza frontiere stilistiche né vincoli di linguaggio.
