Viju Shah is a music composer, arranger & a bollywood music director, based at Mumbai. He is credited for composing the songs for blockbusters like Gupt, Mohra etc. He is the son of Kalyan Virji Shah from the popular Kalyanji - Anandji duo. He was awarded in 1998 for the best background score (Gupt) by filmfare & nominated twice for Best music for a movie. In his career in music industry spanning for almost 30 years he had composed songs for just over 30 films, the latest being in 2007. He is an accomplished keyboard instructor and had many live performances. He has been the jury member of many award panels & also reality tv shows. His music is a blend of Indian melodies & western techno music ('techno' here in a broader sense). He is generally regarded an underrated & underutilized music director. He had also released a solo album named 'Why not Synthesizers?' during the begining of his career. His other prominent works include the soundtracks for movies : Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Chhal, Vishwatma, Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Shikhar, Tujhe Meri Kasam etc. He is married to famous Indian playback singer Sadhana Sargam who can be heard in some of his songs.
