Upstanding Youth is a six piece ska-punk-reggae band from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Since their formation, several lineup changes came about, but currently members include: Marc Allred (vocals, guitar), Thomas Robertson (drums), Demitri Marmash (bass), Tim Goshi (saxophone), Adam Eskaran (saxophone), and Aaron Eskaran (trumpet). Formed in 2001, Upstanding Youth began writing music and performing around the island of Oahu. Their first two CD's, “Trying to Stand” (2002) and “Kam Highway Catharsis” (2003), both won Best Ska/Punk Album of the year at the Hawaiian Music Awards. In 2006, Upstanding Youth released their third album, “Still,” featuring the single “451,” along with a music video for the same song directed by Michael Winget. Upstanding Youth's latest album, “A Sense Of Urgency” (2008), is their most powerful release to date. The record has also won Best Ska Album of the year at the Hawaiian Music Awards in 2009.
