Tomato Jaws” is a ukrainian electronic project, one of the best (if not the best) representatives of contemporary music culture. The members of the project are three talented artists: Alex Junior (Alexander Zhizhchenko), Playone (Paul Lenchenko) and Nata Zhizhchenko (sister of Alexander). The band appears on stage with live sets, which are all compiled from their own material with organic intertwining of live vocal and folk-flute solo (performed by Nata). For 5 years of their work Tomatoes have released 3 full albums (“Tomato Jaws”, “No Concept” and “One Secret”) and a variety of Eps. The last single “Be With Me” (Elevation Recordings) including the remix from Tigerskin appeared to be a kind of splash on european electronic stage and received support from many musicians, among them are Charles Spenser (Loveslap), Jon Silva/Pesto Music, Richard Earnshaw (Guess/Spiritchaser), Daniel Kyo, Scope (Large/NRK), Shur-i-kan, Da Funk, Satoshi Fumi and Pablo Bolivar and so on. The band had the honor to work on one stage with such masters of genre as Terry lee Brown junior, Apparat, Yonderboi, Telepopmusic, Curtis, Tom Kraft and many others. “Tomatoes” have also left the indelible impression at Russian audience on Fort dance festival on the forts of Kronshtadt (St.Petersburg, Russia). The electronic live project “Tomato Jaws” is a kind of talented combination of divine melodic and modern dancing tendencies. Their creative experience is much higher than their age - this is just the very case when talent and beauty (internal and external) unites in one place once. "Tomato" music is able to find the key to everyone who hears it without any effort. An uninitiated listener who hears Tomato Jaws for the first time, for example, on the main stage of КаZаntip, will not forget the fragile figure of Nata on the stage. The guys feel identically well with any audience, understand the mood of a dance floor. It should also be mentioned that all the material played by “Tomatoes” is all of their own, this is the music with nothing excessive in it. On a background of countless faceless parties, they appear as a bright guiding asterisk. A pulsating house-rhythm in all variations - from deep tech to progressive - here is only one of bands’ sparkles. Having heard the music of Tomato Jaws once, you will be fully subdued by Nata’s magic vocal. And later you may find yourself dancing in the middle of the dance floor, fully drowned in a sound which is being made just before your eyes. Read more on Last.fm.
