Tirath Singh Nirmala is a name which may not be familiar to many of you, but he’s a character who’s been around on the scene for a long while now, and might be better known as ex-Hood member John Clyde-Evans. Converting to Sikhism after an eye-opening trip to India, Clyde-Evans changed his name and began to reconsider his music, edging away from the knowing self-pity he may have approached in the past to consider devotional music and explore the avant-garde scene he had always loved so dearly. He was set on the path to this record by his close friend Neil Campbell of Vibracathedral Orchestra who provided him with software to make his life a little easier and this collection is a bold underline after the initial promises of his impossible to obtain self-released cdrs which made waves in the underground (and many of these tracks are culled from).
