Tira Poeira is a chorinho group from Rio de Janeiro, more specifically identified with the bohemian Lapa. Their sound is a highly creative mixture of jazz influences merging with samba and choro, but nothing like bossa nova. It's more like if you heard a very contemporary interpretation of brazilian chorinho's classics altogether with experimentation, improvisation and unpredictable sounds, such as their latest record, which features the funk carioca DJ Sany Pitbull. They have also performed with Maria Bethânia, Lenine, Olivia Hime and many others, reaching very interesting results.
