There is more than one artist with this name: 1) a British vocal group popular in the early 1950s (and re-activated in the 1980s) 2) an Irish trio active in the 1980s 1) The Stargazers were a British vocal group, jointly founded in 1949 by Cliff Adams and Ronnie Milne. Other original members were Marie Benson, Fred Datchler and Dick James. Very shortly after the group made their first broadcasts with BBC Radio on such programs as Workers' Playtime. They were in demand and recorded with Dickie Valentine (with whom they achieved their third #1),Peggy Lee,Jo Stafford and even Frank Sinatra. Their chart career spanned 68 weeks over a three years 1953-56,with nine Top Thirty hits,of which three were number ones,'Broken Wings','I See The Moon' and finally 'Finger Of Suspicion' with Dickie Valentine. A version of the group re-emerged in 1981.
