From out of Melbourne, Australia comes Alt-Rock outfit The Scissor File, A five piece with a live show that scorches and unforgettable songs that get the party started! This dynamic young band's solid work ethic has had them touring and playing shows up and down the east coast and as far away as Port Lincoln in South Australia and far reaches of Queensland. Sharing the stage with a diverse range of bands, The Scissor File have rocked it the likes of Kisschasy, Trial Kennedy, Ivoryline (USA), Horsell Common, Angela’s Dish, The Hot Lies, Calling all Cars and Taxi Ride. Recently signed to Faultline Records after spending the first 18 months with the support of Pee Records, their talented and prolific song writing skills has had them in the studio recording their Sophomore EP “Played on 45’s” with dual Aria nominated producer dw Norton. The EP is scheduled for release on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2009 featuring the infectious first single “Dirty Little Secret”. The uniquely contagious feature of The Scissor File's song writing is the melodious three part vocals and harmonies. Each of the 3 vocalists intertwining with the other to create multiple hook-lines and unforgettable melodies. Fused this with clever guitar riffs, thumping bass parts and beats that get you dancing... The Scissor File's sound is a breath of fresh air in a genre craving fun and good times!
