Sacramento indie-pop band the Loud Family were centred around ex-Game Theory singer/songwriter Scott Miller. During the 1990s they released five albums of literate, experimental and melodic pop to steady critical acclaim but diminishing commercial returns. The Loud Family featured a shifting line-up, including at various points Jozef Becker, Dawn Richardson, Kenny Kessel, Alison Faith Levy, R. Dunbar Poor, Gil Ray, Zach Smith and Paul Wieneke. While the Loud Family became inactive following 2000's Attractive Nuisance, Miller recently returned for a collaboration with Anton Barbeau, What If It Works?. A mooted collaboration (an acoustic GF/Loud Family "best of") with Aimee Mann was commenced but never completed. Sadly, Miller died on the 15th of April 2013. Read more on Last.fm.
