Shoegazey sextet The Lea Shores mixes blissed-out psychedelia with festival-friendly anthems. The south London group evokes faraway ethereal places with sweeping soundscapes created by guitars and violins, which are topped off with the mesmerising vocal harmonies of twin brothers Simon and Nick Webb. Andy Bell (Oasis/Ride) had this to say about them: The Lea Shores are my favourite new band… I saw them supporting the Brian Jonestown Massacre in Stockholm and was hooked straight away. The music is psychedelic and layered… distorted guitars and harmonies but underneath it’s almost folk music. They should be big… they’re already fucking epic! On April 2nd, 2007, they released their debut EP, "guillotine", containing two tracks - "guillotine" (which also has a video) and "say what you will". Within the last months the band has supported The Brian Jonestown Massacre (on their European Tour), Kasabian twice (once at The Royal Albert Hall) and The Dandy Warhols in London. They have also played most of the UK's major summer festivals (including Glastonbury, Wireless and Latitude) and have been collecting fans wherever they have showed up. They're currently working for their forthcoming LP with top producer Ben Hillier (Doves/Elbow/Blur etc).
