1) The Jig is a 7-piece funk outfit from Amsterdam with heart-warming, gut-grinding, knee-bending, filthy instrumental originals. In 2010, The Jig was a valued guest at several Dutch festivals and clubs. They played with tenorhero Hans Dulfer in Amsterdam's Bitterzoet and pumped up the afterparty of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings in Paradiso. At the end of 2010 they gigged in some respected clubs in New York City (Nublu, Kenny's Castaways) and recorded an album in the studio of Ken Rich (David Byrne, Lou Reed, Tracy Bonham, Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed). The album is mastered in Studio 150 by masterwizard Zlaya (Sonic Youth, New Cool Collective). Twelve cosmopolitan energetic tracks bring you the funkspirit the way you like it. Stylish and soulful, with contemporary urge. The Jig consists of some of the most generous musicians Holland has to offer: bandmembers played for a.o. Caro Emerald, Speelman & Speelman, Boris van der Lek, De Hardheid, Clous van Mechelen... Sweat in the butt crack, sir! 2) The Jig is a thrash/powerviolence/hardcore punk band from Indianapolis, Indiana. They released a four track demo in 2015. Read more on Last.fm.
