The Giallos Flame

The Giallos Flame aka Ron Graham follows in the footsteps of artists who made their names scoring images of lurching zombies, violent murders and frantic chase scenes. The movies of Argento, Fulci and Romero were all greatly enhanced by the compositions of Fabio Frizzi, Goblin and Ennio Morricone, and it is clear that these soundtracks left their mark on Graham. Built of a foundation of rock solid drums and heavy synthesizer abuse, The Giallos Flame became a creative outlet for the funk fuelled psychedelic nightmares of the multi-instrumentalist, and as word of his productions spread, he was approached by Baphomet Records, who released his self titled debut album to much acclaim in 2005. Looking for total creative freedom, he founded his own label Analog Screams in 2007, self releasing the Italia Violenta 7" and his second album Violent Professionals. The album and 7" contained a collaboration with The Wolf People (B-Music) and continued his exploration of the Italian Giallo and Horror genres. The success of these releases drew the attention of analogue synth junkies DC Recordings and resulted in the release of the Live from Dunwich EP. The EP was called "An outstanding doth of the cap to yesterday's soundtrack heroes" by DJ Magazine and resulted in praise from a number of high profile artists and DJs including Andy Smith (Portishead), DJ Food (Ninja Tune) and Richard Norris (Beyond The Wizards Sleeve/The Grid). Unsurprisingly Graham has also gained a massive number of fans via the cult horror movie scene, both through his own solo productions and scores for a number of films starring horror legends like Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead, From Dusk Till Dawn), Gunnar Hansen (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Tony Todd (Candyman). Along with soundtracks for the 2008 movies Black Devil Doll and Psycho Holocaust, he recently scored the winning entry in the Grindhouse SXSW Trailer contest, where Hobo with a Shotgun was hand picked by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez to be aired with the movie across the USA and Canada. Having garnered yet more praise for his self released third official solo album House At the Edge of The Dark in 2008 and a collaboration with Padded Cell (DC Recordings), The Giallos Flame has now teamed up with UK label 2600 Recordings for the release of the Euro Slash EP.
