Driven by the original songs written by Bobby Lee Rodgers and played by three players whose common language is jazz, this trio delivers a full rock sound with guitar tones unlike any you've heard before. This fact is due to Rodgers' innovative pairing of his vintage guitars with a Leslie organ cabinet, which has the ability, when coupled with Rodgers exquisitely-talented playing, to evoke voicings reminiscent of organs and even the human voice. A rare talent as both a song writer and player, he was tapped at the age of 23 to become one of the youngest professors ever to teach at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music, an honor that is shared with Pat Methany and Herbie Hancock. All these factors combine to deliver strongly song-based tunes with strong melodies which lend to the songs' pop appeal, as well as heavy improvisational interludes which appeal to the live audiences they have amassed during years touring the clubs which often cater to the jam band patrons. On off nights, the band moonlights az a jazz group, and plays in jazz clubs near their home in Georgia. This is a band whose studio recordings have found appeal in all age groups and whose live performances entice older folks to venture out late at night to get another taste of what so many folks have called "the best band" they have ever heard! from their YouTube page http://youtube.com/user/blrandct Read more on Last.fm.
