Taylor Phelan

Taylor Phelan is a Texas born singer-songwriter and indie-rock artist, most notably known as the former founder and frontman of the Chicago based indie-rock band, The Canes. Most recently, Phelan was a highly favored contestant on the seventh season of NBC’s hit reality series, The Voice. Phelan first started as a independent artist and now with the name recognition the show has afforded him, he’s relaunched his solo career. “I never wanted to be a solo artist, which conjures visions of a guy on stage, strumming away at an acoustic guitar. I’m a band guy at heart. Working under my name is what makes the most sense right now but I want to bring that ‘band feel’ with me" he says. As of 2015, Phelan is writing, recording and partnering with many of the industry super-powers he built relationships with during his time on The Voice. Phelan is currently developing a touring schedule with targeted release dates in 2015. Phelan currently lives near Dallas, Tx with his wife, Nikki (www.nikdval.com), and their two year-old daughter, Addison. Read more on Last.fm.
