Tapegun (a confused guise adopted by Melbourne musician Dan Ryan) works on the edge of hiphop/something with strong influence imbued by the likes of Aphex Twin, Prefuse 73, Aesop Rock. Tapegun’s style of hiphop is accepted with a wince and embraced with carefully gloved hands for fear of infection while being laughed at by the competent and skilled. Dan works solo, making all his own beats everything done, he’s solely worked on from start to finish. He also has several other projects Harmaline Studio, The Department of Fiction, Nyhne, and is also now fronting a band with his two younger brothers, titled The Buegs. Read more on Last.fm.
