Street Talk

STREET TALK, essentially mentored by former SHAPE keyboard player Fredrik Bergh, deal in unashamed, polished AOR. STREET TALK’s 1997 debut ‘Collaboration’ witnessed a core band unit comprising Andreas Lindberg and guitarist Tomas Olsson, keyboard player Fredrik Bergh and SHAPE drummer Jon Persson joined by session singers Daniel Jonsson, Kristian Andren of TAD MOROSE and erstwhile MADISON, GLORY and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Göran Edman. Studio bass came courtesy of Mikael Bermer, of ROCK TOOLS, SAIGON and GLORY repute, and Jorgen Andersson. The 2000 follow up ‘Transition’ would find STREET TALK in a completely new guise with only Bergh and Edman surviving from the prior sessions. New faces included MADRIGAL and GALLEON guitarist Sven Larsson and a rhythm section of bassist Mikael Berner and drummer Christian Johansson. STREET TALK would sign to the MTM Music label for a 2002 album ‘Restoration’. This outing featured the song ‘In The Arms Of Love’, a co-composition credited to TOMMY DENANDER of RADIOACTIVE and former ALIEN vocalist JIM JIDHED. The band announced the employment of two lead vocalists to session on the album in Goran Edman once again and the American ex-VALENTINE and OPEN SKYZ AOR star HUGO. The 2004 compilation 'Destination' would include two new tracks recorded during 2003. Fredrik Bergh took time out during 2004 to session for the German melodic rock outfit BRUNOROCK. STREET TALK, retaining the same line-up as the 'Restoration' album, was revived in 2005, recording a new album in May. During 2005 Bergh and fellow ex-STREET TALK colleague Tomas Olsson cut a debut album, 'Nosferatu' for the Metal Heaven label, with project band BLOODBOUND featuring TAD MOROSE singer Urban Breed Bergh. STREET TALK marked a return in June 2006 with the 'V' album issued through MTM Music. Former singer Kristian Andrén joined BLOODBOUND in September 2006. In 2007 Göran Edman partnered with Båstad musician Claes Corin to record the album 'Roc De Light' under the banner CORIN & EDMAN.
