Som Imaginario

Som Imaginário ("Imaginary Sound") was a Brazilian progressive rock band active in early 70's. Among the musicians that played in this band throughout the several line-up changes are Frederyko (or Fredera), Wagner Tiso, Zé Rodrix and others. They first appeared in a concert with Milton Nascimento in 1970, and in the same year recorded their self titled debut. In the following year, they released another self titled work also known as "Nova Estrela" because of the homonymous film in which the band participated. Milton Nascimento came back in the group history in 1973 by recording the vocals for their third and final album, "Matança do Porco". The band also joined Nascimento in one of this artist's discs, "Milton" in 1970. Line-up: Wagner Tiso (keyboards), Robertinho Silva (drums), Tavito (12 strings guitar), Luiz Alves (bass), Laudir de Oliveira (percussion), Frederiko (guitar) and Zé Rodrix (organ, percussion, vocals and flutes). Participations: Nivaldo Ornelas (sax), Toninho Horta (guitar) and Naná Vasconcelos (percussion). Read more on Last.fm.
