Silent Drive

Silent Drive is a group of individuals whose musical history has been long in the making. Boasting members of Bane, Drowningman, and the short-lived Ink Cartridge Funeral, Silent Drives personnel have been performing and writing within the independent music scene for close to ten years. Though this four-piece has deep roots in the hardcore/metal scene it is branching out far beyond the constraints of any genre. The recipe is a strict one: anything goes, as long as it rocks. There is no melody too sweet and no riff too heavy for us as long as it says what we want it to say, we have no boundaries, comments bassist Pete Chilton. Musicians first and foremost, any category they are put in will be superseded and canceled out by the fact they are fearless musicians who live for the song and for the process of bringing it to anyone who may enjoy it. Silent Drives debut album, Love Is Worth It, was produced by Bill Stevenson, member of Descendents and producer of Rise Against, Good Riddance and Anti-Flag. Consisting of eleven dynamic tracks, Love Is Worth It, showcases the eclecticism of the bands influences and the ability to infuse a punk rock sense of ferocity and intensity into their writing. Even with such dense and heavy tracks as 4/16 and The Professional Silent Drive establish a balance with more subtle and somber songs Broken Hearts Club and Boyfriend Notes. With influences ranging from Faith No More and Radiohead to Black Flag and Descendents, Silent Drive is blazing a new genre-bending path. Read more on Last.fm.
