Scott Fitzgerald

Scott Fitzgerald (Born William McPhail) comes from Glasgow in Scotland. Had a top 10 hit in 1978 'If i had words' - song featured in movie 'Babe' Represented the United Kingdom at Eurovision in 1988. The contest held in Dublin also starred two other notable singers. Celine Dion singing for Switzerland and Lara Fabian singing for Luxembourg. Celine Dion won the contest just 1 point ahead of Scott (137 to 136 points). Scott's song got to number 52 in the UK charts in 1988 whereas Celine's winner 'Ne partez pas sans moi' (Dont leave without me) was never released. Scott released an album of cover versions in 1988 called 'The wind beneath my wings' with some stunning covers and a new version of 'Go' his Eurovision entry of '88. Read more on Last.fm.
