Prior to the below mentioned band, there was a feminist women band successfully playing in Germany. Songs like "Der Mann das ist ein Lustobjekt" or "Schneewittchen zerschlag deinen glaesernen Sarg" or "Unter dem Pflaster, ja da liegt der Sand" were super hits in Germany, before some radio stations started censoring some songs due to enticing violence. The lyrics were provocative but funny, the music folksy and sweet. Three albums were released, but are now hard to find and very rare. "Schneewittchen won critical acclaim and prizes in Germany for their performances and vocal abilities at renowned German art houses and institutions. Marianne Iser who is best described as a gothic Barbie, a high priestess combining bitter angry sentiments and tragic comedy at the same time. She wants to break taboos, provoke and confront. She rebels, screams and fights. They are somewhere between Classic and Avant-garde, giving you very intriguing unexpected soundscapes: classic music, atmospheric, computer sounds, electronic beats, rock e-guitars and pounding techno basses, all interwoven with screeching metallic sound effects.
