There are at least four bands called Scatterbrain: 1. An early '90s US thrash metal band; 2. An '80s Danish Synthpop group. 3. A 2000s Australian psytrance act by Adam Walters 4. A laptop and noise musician from Oakland, California. 5. An Australian DJ/producer working in a variety of electronic music genres. 1. Scatterbrain was a thrash metal band formed in the early 1990s by former Ludichrist members, Tommy Christ and Glenn Cummings. They released two full-length albums: Here Comes Trouble (1990) and Scamboogery (1991). Also released is a 7 song album titled: Mundus Intellectualis (1994). Scatterbrain are most likely best known for their songs "Don't Call Me Dude" and "Down With The Ship," both involving an element of humor. Scatterbrain is also a Danish New wave band from the 80's. Members include the late Hilmer Hassig (later in "Love Shop"), Jesper Ranum (later in Défilm) but the founder member is Jesper Siberg. Albums include 1981's "Keep Dancing" and 1984's "Mountains Go Rhythmic" both released on the Irmgardz label. Scatterbrain is also an Australia psytrance act by Adam Walters. He released a debut album on Digital Psionics in 2003 ago with reviews globally. This debut album ‘Infernal Angel’ is still being talked about in psytrance circles worldwide. -------------------------- 4. Scatterbrain is also Brendan Landis, a laptop composer and improvisor currently active in Oakland, California. He self-released the EP "You Make Me Feel So Young" in 2007 and is presently working on a full-length album. -------------------------- 5. Scatterbrain is DJ/producer from the Blue Mountains, Australia, working in a variety of electronic music genres ranging from ambient/drone to glitch, dubstep, drum & bass and breakcore. He recently supported Clark & Ikonika at Sydney's Void club night. He also hosts a weekly radio show called Surrounded By Silence on community radio station BluFM. Quanta is a frequent guest-host.
