Ron Flynt was a major hit in LA in 1980-82 with his band, 20/20. They were the original house band at Madam Wong's West and cranked out power pop to sold out crowds at the Whiskey A-Go-Go and Starwood and cut three albums before fading into non-existence around 1984. Ron and his best friend and guitarist, Steve Allen played with notables like the Ramones (west-coast tour), Alice Cooper and the Greg Kihn band. They grew up with contemporaries like Phil Seymour and Dwight Twilley in Tulsa Oklahoma. The band's demise is a typical tale of record company A&R rep abuse, sex, lies... no videotape. Ron moved to Austin Texas and now has a recording studio in his home outside Austin. His last CD, LA Story, is a vignette of his adventure to near stardom and the downward spiral of his fall from grace in tinseltown. The more you listen to this CD, the more you love it.
