Roger Allam

Roger Allam (born 26 October 1953 in London, England) is an esteemed English actor, known primarily for his long and prestigious stage career though he has performed in many other productions on film, on television, and on radio. He perhaps most famously played Inspector Javert in the original London production of the popular musical 'Les Misérables' from 1985 to 1986, gaining critical acclaim for songs such as "Stars". Praised for his confident, strong voice, he's been nominated for and received multiple awards, including the Laurence Olivier Awards for 'Best Actor' as well as 'Best Supporting Actor'. Into the new millennium, he's continued to act in multiple roles, such as stage productions of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' and on the popular TV series 'Game of Thrones'.
