The Club Toro and the Manhattan Lounge in Sarasota and the Wagon Wheel in Palmetto. Rock played his music, tunes by Muddy Water, Howlin' Wolf and Sonny Boy Williamson, to a mostly middle-aged black audience. His bands became a clearinghouse for Florida Blues players throughout the 70's and 80's, much like Tampa Red's house of the 30's and 40's in Chicago. In the past 27 years Rock has been blowin' harp and singin' the Blues all over the world.
