RemoteControl

Cyberpunk, There is Cyberpunk. This is RemoteControl, Cyberpunk music. This is RemoteControl: Southern Florida based Landon Boufford. His music is an apotheosis of contradictory feelings: harsh, it is danceable; emerging straight from the underground scene, it sounds a pop music for the 21st century. Rooted in the late ‘80s phenomenon of Industrial music, Landon has taken this counter-cultural statement in urban post-industrial angst, fused it with the happy dance tracks of the 1990s and 2000s Electronic Music scene, added a splash of pure pop melodiousness, then turned up the grime factor. Here is a non-stop pulse of dirty drive shafts pummeling your skull—the beat is undeniable. Here are the detuned and scattered synthesizers, picking up your body and moving you on the dance floor. Landon’s voice, and the effects he soaks it with, are the crowning touch, popping along the listener’s nerve strands like a revelatory vocal blast of a rock group, or dance punk sensation from the very near future. Fans of Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Mindless Self Indulgence, or The Faint are bound to find the sound of RemoteControl both familiar and, yet, still something distinct and aurally novel. This ain’t nothing they’ve ever heard before. RemoteControl is on the road and willing to play your live events. If interested, you may listen to RemoteControl online, either at Landon’s MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/remotecontrolmusic/) or at RemoteControl’s official webpage (http://remotecontrolmusic.com/).
