Remot's rise to prominence started on the Hip Hop news website hiphopdx.com, where he has won numerous production-based contests, remixing well-known songs such as Nas' "Surviving the Times", Styles P's "Blow My Mind" and Stat Quo's "G.R.I.T.S." Most notable achievement so far, however, is securing victory in the American Gangster Remixtape Contest, in which 130 different producers from around the world submitted their remixed versions of Jay-Z's American Gangster album in 2008. hiphopdx After winning the contest, American Gangster Remoted was pressed and released for worldwide distribution. hiphopdx Since winning the competition, Remot has risen to considerable Internet fame, and has worked with up-and-coming rapper Donny Goines on his Non-Fiction EP, also released through HipHopDX.
