"Jazzy, Folky, Positive..!" Often, singer/songwriters perform ‘at’ their audiences. Rebecca Sayre will sing TO you, talk TO you and escort you to the positive side of life. She’ll encourage you to smile, think, engage and perhaps even sing along with her catchy choruses. You may even fall in love. Once a member of Nashville’s favorite original swing band, BadaBing BadaBoom, Rebecca later earned National praise as a jazz vocalist reaching #47 on the JazzWeek Charts with her solo debut, “This is Always”. Her own music blends together elements of Pop, Jazz and Blues, as heard on “New Girl”, her first original EP release. The title cut, co-written with her long-time friend and BadaBing band mate, Ed Mugavero, won an Honor Award from the 2009 Great American Songwriting Contest and was featured on the 2010 season premier of “So You Think You Can Dance”. Rebecca can be heard playing regularly around Nashville or touring in her home state of California. Her upcoming and long-awaited new EP, “Play” wiill be officially released in February, 2012, followed by a West-coast tour. Recently, Rebecca has teamed up with her cousin, Staci Ericson, co-writing an album of children's manner songs to be recorded early in 2012. Read more on Last.fm.
