Rafa Pons is more than a singer-songwriter, but also more than a rocker. He was born in Barcelona where he developed most of his early performances at bars or clubs like Berlin-est, Pastis, Astrolabi or Zacarias. His music is influenced by spanish bands like Extremoduro or El Ultimo de la fila, international artists like U2, The Beatles or singer-songwriters like Jorge Drexler, Juan Perro, Albert Pla, Dani Flaco, La Cabra Mecanica or his great friend Alfonso Mora. He sings that he didn't wanted to be a man before being a poet. Pons' lyrics -he sings in spanish- talk about life, love or surprising tales (only understandable after a cup of whisky with a muffin). In 2005 releases Filatelico (a demo including 6 songs). In 2006 he releases grouped in Pecados de juventud a bunch of his old songs, previously edited in old-lost demos or never released. 2006 it's also the year where a song for a TV commercial makes his music known to more people. In 2007 he finally releases Mal Te Veo, his first studio album, including 14 songs and performing duets next to Aurora Beltran (from Tahures Zurdos) or Lucas Masciano.
