For nearly 25 years, Réal Béland, has been a phenomenon that combines absurd humor and unbridled creativity. His cheekiness and a spectacular popularity have allowed him to co-hosts various flagship radio programs, on the radio waves of CKMF and CKOI. These hit shows’ include: Yé pas trop tard, La gang de malades and Yé trop de bonne heure. This resulted in an “instant-fame” effect, once Réal started his solo career, in the early 2000’s, he was already a star! His first two albums, La bulle à Réal, volumes 1 and 2, were honored by l’ADISQ. Volume 1 was hounored with Felix for Best album of the year – Humor, the second volume with a nomination for the same category. Réal Béland was also recognized and honored by his peers at the Gala Les Olivers in 2001, with of Revelation of the Year Award. In 2007, with the hit live show, Simplicité volontaire, Réal Béland’s infamous Mr. Latreille, who specializes in prank calls, is born. In spring 2011, after 150 shows 1000 prank calls and 15,000 minutes of improvisation, Réal Béland immortalizes his creation with the album Mr. Latreille Unplugged. Réal Béland is also known fo his work on television as an actor and host. Also he has recently started working behind the camera as author and co-director for several films. This year in addition to being in Les Boys, Caméra-Café and animatior for Tripeux, Réal Béland will be performing all over the province -9 planètes- and is working on a multitude of new projects including the Best of Mr. Latreille.
