Poizunus is a Vocal Dj/Beatboxer from Toronto, with beat patterns and vocal turntable techniques that make you wonder if everything you hear is really coming from this man's mouth. As a child, Poizunus struggled with a speech impediment but after speech therapy, he learned to control his voice while speaking. Overcoming this obstacle has been a great achievement for this talented MC who is now mastering beats and creating all types of sound effects with his voice. Amalgamating the new and old world of beatboxing, Poizunus has been spitting beats ever since he was a curious young boy who stumbled upon his cousin's hip-hop tape collection. Music has always inspired this Toronto native who is influenced by his parents collections of soulful music. In 2004, Poizunus performed at New York City's 2nd Annual Human Beatbox Convention. The next year he competed in Germany's Hip-Hop World Challenge, in which he placed in the top 3. Internationally renown beatboxer Killa Kela has reportedly stated that he regards Poizunus as his favorite beatboxer from the battle. This past year Poizunus has been taking the Canadian music scene by storm. Canada's Music station "MuchMusic" featured him on the show "Music Is My Life" and followed him around the city of Vancouver where he took 1st Place at the 604 Hip Hop Expo Beatbox Battle. Since then he's Appeared on numerous television spots such as; Going Coastal, Breakfast Telvision, RapCity, MTV Live and also been featured in two MuchVibe commercials. In addition to his past success, Poizunus has toured the United Kingdom in 2005 and performed live with UK Beatbox Legend Killa Kela and US DMC Champ DJ Craze at the Winter Music Conference in 2006. He also just recently took home 1st place at this years Scribble Jam 2007 Beatbox Battle. You may have also seen him open for acts such as Method Man, Dj Jazzy Jeff, Dj Evil Dee, C-Rayz Walz, Obie Trice, Llyod Banks, Jim Jones, Choclair, Classified, Maestro and Kardinal Offishall.
