PillFORM is the future sound of Florida Breaks. It’s not about nuskool or oldskool, electro or techno. It’s not about club music or the underground. It’s more like option D, “all of the above.” PillFORM will make you shake and breakdown in your seat, not to mention what will happen to you on the dance floor. Beginning in the late 90’s, PillFORM gathers his sound from the South Florida breakbeat scene. Building a collection of self-made original and remix material, not only to represent classic Florida funk, but to change the idea that a breakbeat is only a “break” between sets. Heavy bass and solid breaks, smothered in layers of funky vocal cuts, paint a wall of sound loud enough to knock you down. From performing at countless Funkin Family gatherings in the islands of the Florida Keys, to his first headline appearance at the Electronic Music Pow-Wow in 2002, to landing on DJ Baby Anne’s “Mixtress” CD with his unofficial remix of J.J. Fad’s “Super Sonic” in 2004 (First and only vinyl release). PillFORM is a sound that commands audiences to shake their ass collectively. www.funkinfamily.com Read more on Last.fm.
