Phasenmensch was founded in 2009 by Wolfram Bange and is a philosophical and intertextual music project that tries to achieve a mixture of IDM, Industrial and Synthpop. Wolfram Bange currently is a student of german literature and philosophy and started his creative career with successfully producing a couple of shortfilms, documentaries and musicvideos. Phasenmensch’s goal is to combine philosophical aphorisms with manifested emotions and moments of intensity within his music, he is looking for a new kind of language, in a subtle way tries to express the states and emotions that can’t be expressed through words. The combination of visuals and sounds plays an important part for him and since Wolfram is a film enthusiast, he is producing his own videos for the project, designs his own artworks and tries working with samples that have not been done to death by hundreds of bands before. His main inspirations are the authors Jean-Paul Sartre, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Søren Kierkegaard and musicians like Undermathic, Orphx, Bitcrush, Dryft and Covenant. ‚Phasenmensch’ has released four CD-Rs so far and earned mostly positive feedback (especially for the latest release ‚Die Welt erfriert’) by the local press, the listeners and lots of other artists.
