Oliver Thomas was born January1, 1977 in the Black Forest of Germany. He has been interested in music since early childhood and listened to bands playing for hours, dreaming of performing on the great stages of the world. In his younger years he learned to play various instruments including the drums in various bands. At age 15 he began his carrier as a solo musician, playing at parties and galas but also started singing his own compositions more and more. When songwriter Irma Holder heard him singing on stage one day she invited him spontaneously to meet producer Jean Frankfurter who, convinced of Thomas's talent, immediately recorded the first titles. With his strong, emotionally charged voice and beautiful blue eyes he beat out the competition with his song "Maedchen sind was Wunderbares" (girls are something wonderful) in his first TV-Hitparade in 1997. A start from 0 to 100 in his first big TV appearance. And the rest is history! He has won many Hitparade contests and untold prizes and is today one of the most successful pop singers. Since 2009 he goes on tour with his own band; in 2010, in his hometown of Balingen, 3000 people came to watch Oliver Thomas & Band. Today Oliver Thoas writes and produces many of his titles himself in his own sound studio because, as he says: "it lets my own personality shine through". One more dream is still waiting to be fullfilled, however: A really big tour with his band. Songs: "Schreib Deinen Namen an die Tuer", "Deine kleinen Luegen", "I've had the time of my life", Wenn du zu den Sternen fliegst" and many, many more. Read more on Last.fm.
